Our History

Our beginnings are humble in every sense of the word.  We started out back in 2017 as a small group of about 20 believers at Skip and Karen Dowding's house outside on their deck.   As a group, we were determined to share our faith with our community and soon moved our services to the Springport Public School cafeteria.  We were thrilled to be able to hire Pastor Matt Rohde  as our lead Pastor.  Pastor Matt and his wife Angela, had served the Nashville community for many years with the Nashville Baptist Church.

Our numbers kept growing and within a few months we were able to purchase the church building on Mechanic Street in Springport.  This transition was a dream come true and we filled that little church with our beautiful music  and rejoiced together.   Pastor Matt has a way of reaching all people with his sports analogies and fun stories and more people started joining us regularly.   The Lord blessed us greatly as we packed that little church until it was bursting at the seams.

A plan was developed to build a new larger sanctuary which seemed like a huge undertaking at the time.  One that seemed like it may be out of reach with the finances needed.  With the support of our leaders, we started saving our funds and before long that dream of having a new bigger building became a reality.

Our new building holds 500 people for services and also doubles as a gym, a great place to meet for our youth group and community members.  We have held banquets, craft shows, weddings and other events in our new space.  We are truly blessed and grateful.
